Beyonce and Rihanna, two of America's finest singers; with Grammy awards have officially become academic courses at the University of Austin in Texas as the institution has put on offer, a course titled 'Beyoncé Feminism, Rihanna Womanism' as part of its spring 2015 semester.
The institution has revealed through its website that "The course will focus on “how the lyrics, music videos, and actions of these women express various aspects of black feminism such as violence, economic opportunity, sexuality, standards of beauty, and creative self-expression.”
As many might have guessed, Professor of Feminist Perspectives, Kevin Alfred said, "...featuring celebrities in course material is a strategic way to draw students in."
